Bug: do not rely on Search Console indexing data!

Google announced that the recent indexing issue was impacting the data presented in the "Coverage" report and Search Console's URL inspection tool. Google is currently fixing this bug.

What's the problem?

Specifically, all data related to indexing in different reports of the Search Console can display data related or not updated.

Since the bug indexing, thousands of pages of websites on April 4 and 5, the Search Console data related to indexing have indeed not been updated.

The indexing bug resolved in the search results now also affects the URL inspector tool that does not always give the correct indexing status of a URL still today.

How to test the indexing of a page while waiting for the resolution?

 Pending the resolution of the problem, Google recommends the use of the search operator site: followed by the URL or domain to test.
